Feeling like a broken record (does anyone under the age of 25 even understand that reference?) not much has changed this week in the serps.  It really appears as if things have settled down and are generally moving upwards.

Here are this weeks results:

1. Taking back first place this week is Chris from Warrior Forum climbing to 6th in google.
2. Falling to second is Senukex dropping in the serps at 8th.
3. Third is still held by Linkpushing.net who climber to 11th.

5. Finally fifth is smartersubmit.comholding onto 17th in google.

For those of you who may have missed it, the results of the Linkpushing vs. Serpassist test are now in.  You can read them here: Linkpushing vs. Serpassist Results.  I have my next test planned and some of the groundwork laid, but I am pretty busy with some other projects this month, so I do not foresee it getting under way anytime before December.  The basic premise is whether or not have google products on your site will affect your serps.  Particularly, google analytics in this case.

In this particular test, we have pretty much entrenched our services in there places in the contest.  We did have a little movement this week, but not much, and the top 3 are still on top.

2. Falling to second is Chris from Warrior Forum dropping in the serps at 9th.
3. Third is still held by Linkpushing.net who slipped to 14th.
4. Fourth is smartersubmit.com now ranking at 17th in google.
5. Finally fifth is SEO Jack from the Warrior falling to 18th in google.

I discovered something interesting as I was preparing for this post.  I inadvertently created my page and the first post for this test with the exact same url.  I am not sure how it was directing others, but for me, I could get to was the page.  The page does little more than act as structure for the site to help keep the links straight to follow the tests.  The post laid out all the parameters of the test.  If you missed it because I am a numb-skull sometimes, you may  want to go back and read it first. I have had the results now for a few weeks, but I have been crazy busy and did not have a chance to type this up.  I think next year will be the year I break down and hire a VA.  All that aside, if you remember I started with building links to the same domain but different url’s on that domain.

For the serpassist links, I did domain/for+keyword.  For linkpushing I did domain/the+keyword.  At the beginning of the test, this domain was not ranking in the top 1000 results.

I used spun content for the two pages on the site, spun content for the linkpushing links, and spun content for the serpassist links.  I did 10 linkpushes and 2 giant linkwheels with serpassist.  I only did 2 linkwheels because I ran out of captcha credits and I did not want to change things by investing more in serpassist.

For ease of use, linkpushing wins.  Serpassist would be easy if you preloaded a bunch of articles before up front and then used these 10 or so articles to build the linkwheels.  Just more headache.

For the serps results, Serpassist wins by one.  The domain itself went from not in the top 1000 to 152 in serps, and the serpassist page is now at 650 while the linkpushing is at 651.

Couple take aways from this- I am not evaluating the overall serps as far as the effectiveness of these tools.  Like I said, everything I used was spun, so expectations were low.  That being said, the site url climbing that high without any of the links going directly to it is a good and interesting result.

Dollar for dollar, considering serpassist only one by one place, I would personally go with linkpushing for the ease of effort when it comes to building the backlinks.  Following my link for serpassist will give you $20 off the regular price of $77.  Following my link for linkpushing and putting in this code 4A43142049 gives you 15% off whatever size package you choose (last time I checked anyway).

Results for week 17 of the best backlink service test are now in the books.   Not much changed in the competition rankings but some slippage in google for a few of the services.  linkpushing vs serpassist test is complete but I did not have a chance to write it up yet.  I will deliver this week I promise.  I am looking forward to launching the next test, but have to get this done first.

Though it is not part of the test, Senukex is delivering the most traffic right now because it is ranking for the most keywords of the 5.

Also, some of the sites have gained pagerank- Senukex is now PR 2, Chris from Warrior Forum is PR 1, SEO Jack from the Warrior 1.

Not many changes in competition rankings yet, but tightening in the serps has taken place.  Not much else to tell, the results speak.  Next week the serpassist vs linkpushing.net test ends and I will have that update for you.

9 weeks to go in this test and all the sites are still defying the panda update.  An former leader has regained control of all the keywords again as you will see in the results.

Test two has 12 days remaining in it and the results have been surprising so far.  If you do not remember, that was serpassist vs linkpushing.

Test three groundwork is being laid now.  That will be testing to see if having Google Analytics on your site will affect your serps.  These results will be published come mid December.

We are on the downward slope with this experiment.  For those who did not realize it, another panda update came out this week.  Oddly enough, now adverse affects were noticed on any of the 5 sites in this test.  Panda must like these 5 sites for some reason because he sure as heck chewed up a few of my other sites.
